Description

The drawstring roll is the format that makes household waste handling quick: the ribbon is built into the top of the bag, so the user pulls the band and the bag closes on itself, with no knot to tie and no need to touch the waste. Ulike Packaging manufactures these bags on our own film and bag-making lines, which is what lets us offer the closure in a matching colour to the bag and keep the two perfectly aligned through every bag on the roll.

Black, grey and yellow are the standard colourways for household and housekeeping use, and the sleeve, colour code and label artwork are fully custom, so the same roll can be built for a supermarket shelf, an e-commerce box or a facility supply catalogue. Size and film thickness are quoted per order, because the right specification depends on the bin volume and on what the bag is expected to carry.

The film is extra thick for its weight class, which is why it is specified for kitchens and for waste that includes fish bones, cans and hard shells. The roll is perforated so a single bag is torn off cleanly and the remainder of the roll stays folded and dry inside its sleeve. MOQ starts at 20,000 bags, and a typical order is completed within 12-15 days after the sample and printing proof are approved.

FAQ

Q: Which colors are available and can we order a custom color?

A: Black, grey and yellow are the standard colourways for household use, and we can produce other colours on request once the quantity justifies the material change. The drawstring ribbon is supplied in a matching or contrasting colour, so you can also use the band as a size or type code on the shelf.

Q: How does the pull-to-tie closure actually work?

A: The ribbon is laminated into the top edge of the bag, so when the user pulls the ribbon the neck gathers and closes by itself, exactly like a tied bag but without a knot. A small pull notch marks where to grab it, and the whole action can be done with one hand, which is why it is popular in kitchens and in housekeeping trolleys.

Q: Can you customize the size, thickness and packaging?

A: Yes. Size, film thickness, roll length, bags per roll and packing format are all quoted per order. We can pack the roll in a printed sleeve, in a carton, or in a branded dispenser box. Send us the bin volume you are targeting and the artwork you need, and we will come back with a specification and a price.

Q: What is the sample policy and the lead time?

A: Existing colour samples can be sent free of charge, and a custom printed sleeve sample is normally ready within 5-7 working days after artwork approval. Bulk production takes 12-15 days once the sample and printing proof are signed off, plus 7-15 days for sea or air shipping, and we send photos of the packed rolls before dispatch.

Q: Do you offer better pricing for larger orders?

A: Yes. Pricing depends on film thickness, size, print complexity and order quantity. Larger volumes get a lower unit price, and repeat orders can reuse the printing plates to reduce the setup cost. Give us your annual forecast and we will send a tiered price list with the standard lead time for each tier.
